The smart PDU is a device ready to work in a network and is equipped with smart current meters that indicate the total energy consumption of a power strip. It also incorporates a communication software easy to configure and use.
This software provides the administrator the ability to remotely monitor the power consumption of multiple PDUs and to account for the total current power consumption of the CPD.

Eaton Managed Rack PDU
ePDU G3 Managed models allow complete lights-out control and metering of devices including devices powered across multiple ePDUs. They include IEC Class 1 (1%) billing grade accuracy, an advanced hot-swap meter with LCD pixel display showing V, W, A and kWh, and the ability to daisy chain 8 ePDUs to share the same network connection and IP address.

Securely allows remote control and remote rebooting.
Outlet level metering
IEC +/-1% Billing Grade Accuracy: Meter your energy consumption (kWh) plus V, W and A extremely accurately at the individual pieces of equipment level.
Hot-Swap network component
ePDU G3 has Hot-Swap network components – update or change without changing the outlet state.
